About Eric Ngidi

An experienced Operations Executive in Manufacturing and Financial Services industries. I am a leadership enthusiast and student. I believe the success of an organisation is dependent on putting people first. I obtained a BSc. degree in Chemistry and Applied Mathematics from the University of Natal (now UKZN), an MBA degree from MANCOSA, BSc (Honours) and MSc degrees from the University of Pretoria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from MANCOSA. I have over 25 years of work experience, most of which has been in the cement industry. I started in 1995 as Engineer-in-Training (EIT). My experience in the cement industry has been in Quality Assurance and Production Management. I have also worked in Sales and Financial Services. I possess excellent people management and leadership skills. I am an energetic and ambitious individual who can perform under pressure and still deliver good results. My journey has been as follows: • 1996 - Completed the engineer-in-training (EIT) programme. • 1997 - Appointed as Assistant Quality Manager. • 1998 - Appointed as Quality Manager. • 2002 - Appointed as Production Manager. • 2007 - Appointed Group Sustainability Manager. • 2009 - Appointed Process Manager. • 2011 - Appointed Process Specialist. • 2012 - Appointed Senior Operations Manager. • 2014 - Appointed Sales Manager – parts and services. • 2015 - Appointed Plant Manager. • 2019 - Appointed Chief Operating Officer. • 2019 - Appointed Strategy and Operations Officer (Consulting).
