Currently, employee engagement is at an all-time low which can impact safety, productivity and efficiencies. I am a Continuous Improvement Manager and I enjoy getting employees involved so that they have a say to make a change for the better in their work environment. I have therefore implemented Lean strategies, focusing on Kaizen and the 8 Wastes. I have led cross-functional teams to streamline processes through Value Stream Mapping, Gemba walks, and Visual Management, most recently achieving: • $75k annual savings by reducing overtime in MPC while maintaining weekly training. • A $250k capital project that improved first yield by 15% and saved $125k in scrap. • Increased EBITDA from 3% to mid-20% in 18 months through lean tools and continuous improvement. • A 40% reduction in extrusion line changeover time using SMED. • A 30% decrease in WIP Days on Hand, improving production flow.
