ERIC PAUL ERICKSON is a writer, host and award-winning filmmaker & actor. He worked as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune, Roswell Daily Record and numerous other newspapers, magazines and media outlets.Eric Paul Erickson is the author of the sci-fi novel “Ascension” and creator of The Torch Universe books including the immensely popular "Virginia Dare." He is the writer of the #1 bestselling book "How To Start A Podcast In Less Than A Day” and has authored and co-authored non-fiction books on historic topics including the Civil War, the Old West and Viking culture. As a journalist, Erickson has worked for the Chicago Tribune's storied City News Service and the Roswell Daily Record. His work has appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times and numerous other newspapers, magazines and media outlets. He hosts the long-form interview podcast The Open Highway and has hosted radio shows including Top 40 from Hell and podcasts including The Valhalla Lounge and WAVP Radio. Erickson wrote, directed and co-starred in the film “Truth” which won the Best Feature award at the Women’s International Film Festival and Best Director honors at the Silver State and Marina del Rey film festivals. He also won the Best Actor Award and the Best Storytelling Award at the Laughlin International Film Festival and the film was an official selection for the Arctic Open Film Festival in Arkhangelsk, Russia where Erickson was a guest and presented the film.
