About Eric Perrin

I was awarded an Engineering degree in Aeronautics and Computer Science by the French Civil Aviation School (ENAC) in Toulouse in 1993. Since 1995, I have built up my understanding of ATM/ANS (incl. aeronautical mobile communications, satellite navigation, etc.), aviation performance and the application of business cases over a period of 27 years. I have been willing to take on new challenges throughout that period to ensure that my skills remain relevant in anticipation of shifting priorities. From 2002 to late 2016, I have had within the EUROCONTROL Agency a proven track record in staff, project and budget management. After having led a geographically and culturally diverse team of safety and human performance staff for more than 10 years, I joined in 2017, on secondment from EUROCONTROL, the Single European Sky Unit of DG MOVE (European Commission). Back from the 4-year secondment at the Commission, I joined the Aviation Sustainability Unit of EUROCONTROL as Deputy Head of Unit. Since February 2024, I have had the pleasure of leading the relocation programme for EUROCONTROL’s Innovation Hub (EIH) within the Paris-Saclay Innovation Playground, one of the top 8 innovation clusters worldwide and the leading cluster in the EU. The future EIH will be operational from summer 2028. I've solid expertise in a wide range of disciplines such as- People management- European Programs Management- Single European Sky regulations- Aviation Sustainability- System engineering- Safety management- ATM operations- Business Case- Satellite Navigation; and - Aeronautical Mobile Communication.
