About Eric Pogodzinski

After 20 years serving in the United States Marine Corps, I have chosen a career where I get to continue serving those who serve our country in their path to financial freedom and security. I have always had a passion for making those around me better by helping them set goals and stay on the path to those goals. I am now pairing that passion to help, with my passion of learning and financial management. As a First Command Financial Advisor my goal is to help clients get on the path to financial stability and peruse their goals through proper knowledge and use of money management tools. I am committed to helping clients consistently make smart, informed financial decisions in the pursuit of long-term financial freedom. Through my experience one of the largest obstacles to financial freedom is our own habits that we set when it comes to how we manage and use money. I work with clients to build a trusting relationship and help keep them focused on what is in their best interest, based on their needs and personal goals. My role is to be a good coach throughout the process. This is accomplished by: 1. Setting specific and meaningful goals that are achievable and align with the values of the client. Provide them with a personalized plan that helps them pursue their goals without stifling their daily life. Provide encouragement, guidance and motivation to keep them on their path and focused on their goals created during our meetings. Helping clients adjust their plan strategically when life events happen, and work through these events continuing on their path and achieving their goals. About First Command First Command was founded in 1958 by a retired Air Force officer with the intent on improving the financial well-being of service members and their families. Today, more than 500 First Command Financial Advisors across the country and abroad are committed to fulfilling the company’s Mission of “Coaching those who serve in their pursuit of financial security”.
