About Eric Polka

My name is Eric Polka. I'm seeking a career in the field of Computer Management Information Systems. My ideal career path entails holding a position in the department areas of Computer Security or Infrastructure. However, I welcome career opportunities from all aspects of the CMIS field. I currently serve as an intern at Enterprise Holdings and Operations Team Member at Gander Mountain in O'Fallon, IL. My job responsibilities include end user support for the Car Sales division and preparing the store for opening daily, processing shipments, stocking, store maintenance, customer service, product knowledge of every department, and maintaining the integrity of the store. In this position, I was awarded the title of "Peak Performer in Service" in December of 2015. This award is given to employees who exude excellent customer service and relationship skills and product knowledge. I would describe my work style as productive, timely, and thorough. I take a great deal of pride in my work. Dedication to my career is a foundational value in my daily life, hard work and lifelong commitment to my work is a key value in which I sincerely believe. Also, I possess an extensive amount of personality traits that make me a top performing employee. I maintain a very positive attitude to the work environment and place a strong emphasis on continuous self-improvement. In regards to my education, I am currently a graduate student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Management Information Systems. Throughout my educational path, I have gained a variety of experience to well prepare me for this line of work. For example, I have taken academically intensive classes and hold a 3.5 GPA.
