About Eric Prochnow

My career path has been a journey full of professional development, personal growth, and overcoming obstacles in order to realign my career with my passion. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in economics and marketing from Northern Arizona University, I began a career in marketing and event planning. I quickly gained experience in social media strategy, data analysis, website development, and event production through a variety of student and professional roles. After planning and producing numerous events and marketing campaigns for events like open mics, movies, silent discos, and large-scale concerts, I eventually applied my event planning expertise to coordinating community-wide parades and industry-wide conferences.After reevaluating my career aspirations and goals, I embarked on a career shift into the real estate, urban planning, and economic development industry. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and minor in real estate from Arizona State University, I continued to grow my skill set through various internships and real world projects that enhanced my knowledge and helped me become an effective practitioner, organized project manager, and excellent communicator. While completing a master's degree in urban and environmental planning, I was able to solidify my passion for public service and community development. I learned how to utilize my technical, analytical, and creative problem solving skills to create a lasting impact on the local communities that I serve. I look forward to applying my education, experience, and passion to expand downtown development initiatives and better serve my community.
