About Eric Ramones

Dr. Eric Ramones is the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources at West Valley-Mission Community College District. His passion for public service and higher education is qualified by twenty years of public human resources experience and thirteen years as an adjunct professor for the graduate school of public administration at San Jose State University. He serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Northern California Community College Pool Joint Powers Authority, Board Member for the Association of California Community College Administrators, Board Member for the Association of Chief Human Resources Officers, member of the Human Resources Advisory Committee for the Statewide Association of Community Colleges, and Rotary International. Prior to West Valley-Mission, Dr. Ramones was the AVP of Human Resources at Gavilan College and the Human Resources/Internal Affairs Manager for the San Jose Fire Department. Dr. Ramones is actively engaged in professional development, organizational effectiveness, promoting diversity, conflict resolution, and mentoring. He teaches various classes including Diversity and Social Justice for Public Administrators and presents at conferences each year in the areas of Human Resources, Labor Relations, Leadership, and Diversity.
