About Eric Rivas

Eric Rivas is a professional marketer with a background in SEO, PPC, local search, social media, strategy, content creation, marketing automation, affiliate marketing, marketing management, and sales. He received an MBA with an emphasis in marketing, a BS in marketing, a Professional Sales Certificate, and an AS in university studies from Utah Valley University. He is also fluent in both English and Spanish. Though his work history starts at age 14 when he’d work summers at the warehouse and later at a shaved ice stand, his marketing career started when he interned at 97th Floor in 2017. This opened up the door for him to intern as an SEO at Zija International for 5 months which led to him being promoted to the marketing department as an SEO Specialist. This had been my goal since I started working at Zija as a Call Center Representative. He’s had the pleasure of working in start-up, agency, corporate, and nonprofit marketing thus far. Roots Marketing is a professional venture of his that helps local small businesses grow through digital marketing solutions. He also gives internship opportunities to students so they can expand their portfolio. Lastly, revenue generated is given as scholarships to undergraduates from underrepresented communities. Outside of work and school, he loves spending time with his wife and family, traveling, trying new restaurants, reading, and volunteering in the community.
