About Eric Ruiz

I am currently working as the Arts & Recreation Coordinator at the East Palo Alto Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula. I've been with the organization for 10 years - I began working as a teen staff and moved up throughout the years. I have a passion for working with BGCP because I was a club member since the age of 6 years old. To me working after being a member it feels like I am giving back to the program that has helped me to be the person that I am now. I believe that I can do the same thing for the current members who attend BGCP. Still being employed with BGCP has been helping me to improve my skills, which will allow me to support our youth in a better way. The Boys & Girls Club has allowed me to expand my horizons to figure out what I would like to do in the future. I began to have a passion for event planning, which I have developed by planing, organizing, and executing events in a successful way. I can imagine myself being part of an amazing organization which will allow me to reach my full potential as a Professional Event Planner.
