I work to analyze Iowa State’s publishing trends and move collection money away from subscription paywalls and toward more Open publishing models. I also serve as liaison to three engineering departments. My interests include scientometrics, Python, Open Access publishing, LaTeX, and apple trees, and my work has appeared in journals such as Quantitative Science Studies, the Serials Librarian, and the Journal of Applied Physics. I hold a BS in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an MLIS from Rutgers University. Prior to my current role at Iowa State, I worked at Intel for 10 years on NAND flash memory.
