About Eric Scheidt

What do I want to be when I grow up? For some, the answer comes easy and there is never any doubt. For others, it can be a looming question mark that persists throughout one's life. As a Career Coach, I support students in answering this question. In our 1-on-1 sessions, we uncover and align their values, interests, and strengths with best-fit careers. We also discuss and leverage best-practices in job searching, networking, and resume/cover letter critiques to secure those careers. Throughout this process, space is provided for self-reflection and development of agency, resulting in a sense of empowerment students can take with them long after an appointment concludes.Deciding on and pursuing a career can be one of the most significant choices one makes in their lives. One's line of work has a lasting impact on life satisfaction. The reason I do the work I do is to facilitate this sense of satisfaction and contribute towards a student's ability to lead a richer and fuller life. And then, when they reconsider that initial question, what do I want to be when I grow up, the answer is clear.
