Hello! My name is Eric Schmiedel and I am a software engineer turned Vice President who has a true love for creating stunning web applications. I started my career specializing in front end development and spent several years expanding my skillset to become a full stack engineer. I absolutely love technology, and especially the web. I am constantly pushing myself to stay on top of recent changes in the development world, while also expanding my horizons by learning more traditional programming languages. Since becoming a VP, I have shifted my focus to building highly collaborative & cohesive software development teams. I have a true passion for modern software development practices. While I am most experienced with utilizing Scrum to deliver cutting edge software on-time and on-budget, I am constantly learning about new ways to increase efficiency while maintaining a respectful and positive environment for my teams. My goal is to change the perception of software development held by both product stakeholders/executives as well as developers.
