About Eric Scott

I am a software engineer with over 12 years of experience in e-Commerce industry, focused on providing the best possible experience for our clients. I do this by focusing on three key areas: 1) Working Directly with Clients - Minimize impact of production environment issues through quick short term changes, while working on longer term solutions to fully address problem - Travel on-site to client locations to resolve critical situations - Attend our conferences as part of representing the Commerce Search team 2) Enablement - Create problem determination documentation (ex. MustGather) for clients and internal teams to use for getting started on issues - Train new Support team members on providing world class experience for our users - Assist with training new Development team members on Commerce Search, as an SME in this area 3) Minimizing Future Problems - Lead serviceability efforts in Commerce Search while also assisting other areas of our product - Lead code quality discussions, and participate in code, design, and test plan reviews Outside of work, I love playing hockey, reading Sci-Fi, and travelling (38 countries so far).
