I am a Mechanical Engineer II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, specializing in machine design. In my role, I lead the design, development, implementation, and testing of new manufacturing equipment and processes. Proficient in SolidWorks, I create detailed parts, drawings, and assemblies for innovative designs while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. My responsibilities extend to coordinating with suppliers to requisition necessary parts, obtaining quotes for new designs, facilitating purchase orders, and meticulously tracking the progress of all incoming components. Notably, several machine parts have been conceived from my own designs, reflecting my commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering solutions. I've played a pivotal role in supporting high-level projects, contributing at every stage from concept design to assembly and production. This experience has deepened my understanding of how each small system intricately contributes to the larger system as a whole, fostering a holistic approach to engineering solutions. Before pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree, I served for nearly six years in the United States Air Force as a Munition Systems Technician. This experience instilled in me the values of discipline, teamwork, and effective communication. My positive motivation consistently translated into increased productivity and fewer delays throughout the unit. As a training officer, I imparted safety requirements and proper procedures for handling explosives, emphasizing a commitment to safety and operational excellence. I am enthusiastic about leveraging my engineering skills to contribute to defense systems, building upon the foundation of discipline and teamwork cultivated during my military service.
