About Eric Sedlak

NYU, J.D, Haverford College, B.A, with Honors in Economics from Bryn Mawr College Eric Sedlak's practice focuses on energy, foreign direct investment and M&A. He is a member of AIEN and heads the K&L Gates Hydrogen Practice in Japan. Mr. Sedlak has handled financing and corporate work in energy, automotive, computer hardware and software, construction, food, hotels, insurance and property development. Mr. Sedlak has spoken in Asia, Europe and North America on Hydrogen, drafting techniques and dispute settlement, intellectual property rights, bankassurance JVs, NASDAQ listings, diligence, debt restructuring, angel funding, foreign direct investment, the interplay between disclosure schedules and representations and warranties, M&A in India, competition policy, Japanese solar projects and troubled infrastructure projects. Chapters: Capital Contributions and Financing in Capital Flows along the Mekong and the Vietnam chapters of Matthew Bender's, Kluwer Law's and Juris' Joint Ventures. Mr. Sedlak is currently a Governor of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan where he previsouly served as Vice President and Special Advisor, and is a former board member and chair of AmCham, HCMC. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of AmCham, Singapore and chaired the Chapter's Regional Affairs Committee. In Tokyo, he Co-Chaired ACCJ's Legal Services Committee and has served on the Corporate Governance, Growth Strategy, Competition Policy, Foreign Direct Investment and Privatization Task Forces, and for several years Chaired or Co-Chaired the External Affairs Advisory Council. He previously served as an ACCJ Governor 2010-12 and 2014, as Vice President 2015-16 and as Special Advisor to the Board 2017-18. Mr. Sedlak established and managed Deacons Graham & James' offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore. Mr. Sedlak completed the Board Director Training Institute Director Boot Comp Program.
