About Eric Seeram

I am passionate about engineering design, particularly the manufacturing of metals and plastics. I enjoy learning new things and actively look for learning opportunities. During my time at university, I took an interest in topics such as fluid mechanics, robotics and FEA. I joined a student run design team called Carbon Cutting Racers, with the goal of designing and building an ultra-fuel efficient vehicle to compete in a yearly race called the Shell-Eco Marathon, held in California. Here I gained hands on experience manufacturing with carbon fiber composite and performing FEA analysis on an aerobody. My last job experience was at ALMAG Aluminum, a company specializing in the aluminum extrusion and finishing processes. There I gained an understanding and interest in the process of die and extrusion profile design. I also worked with engineering drawings and AutoCAD drafts, as well as learning the principles of lean manufacturing through inventory flow optimization. I enjoy 3D printing as a hobby, particularly in creating functional and practical designs.
