About Eric Seger

I have a passion for people and a passion for aviation. After college I spent four years in human services, as a mental health counselor and social worker, learning about human behavior, the human condition and the vastly dynamic motivations people have, which dictate not only what we do, but more importantly, why we do it. I moved to Southern California in pursuit of a career in aviation in 2017, taking a job as a Line Service Technician at Atlantic Aviation at KSNA, one of the busiest and technical ramps in the entire country, where I have learned the ins and outs of high profile clientele, part 135 and 91 operations, business aircraft and airport operations. During this time I also studied for, and earned my Private Pilot Certificate through Sunrise Aviation, also at KSNA. I currently work for Aerotas, a drone survey consulting/data processing company, as the flight operations manager, working mainly with surveyors and civil engineers, who collect data with drones. I consult with our clients to streamline their drone programs to fit seamlessly (and legally) into their current business models, navigating through FAA processes and airspace restrictions, as well as general troubleshooting with drone software, hardware, and data transition from the drone to finished product.
