My story is a bit unconventional: At the ripe old age of 18, I became an entrepreneur, and for the next 20 years, I learned by doing, which resulted in rapidly growing and scaling a very successful business. I was presented with an opportunity at an early age that enabled me to develop a solid professional acumen as a leader. Starting a business in my youth, I was motivated by all the aspects of success, and I found an affinity to be driven by challenges. All of the bumps and bruises I encountered along the way helped me to build a love of business and to hone my skills in: • Organizational development • Team building • Business strategy and strategic planning • Sales and vendor management • Operations • Leadership • Decision making and business strategy • Forecasting and analysis • Employee engagement and management Sharpening these skills translated into building a business with order volume from 1 per day to over per day. Why am I the way I am? In addition to my early start as an entrepreneur, I grew up with immigrant parents. I was taught to hustle from an early age, to sell and build a business from the ground up. I learned by doing - not by sitting at a desk or listening to a lecture on business. Further, building my business gave me the ability to become very adept at focusing on people, process and product and to assess business problems and implement solutions very quickly. I have a love for business and I’m a passionate connector so this platform is just a glimpse of who I am, just as it is just a glimpse of who you are.
