Background
About Eric Sierra
After getting my bachelor's degree at the University of Chile, I worked as a Project Engineer at the consulting firm "Systep Engineering and Design". Key responsibilities involved developing connection studies of power plants and substations through modelling and analysing power systems to verify compliance with technical regulations and be approved by the respective authorities. The above includes power flow, short circuit, transient behaviour, and protection coordination analysis using the DigSILENT Powerfactory. Some projects have been developed for renowned companies such as BHP BILLITON, Enel Green Power, Bechtel, Celtic Solar Group, Sunpower, Transelec, ABB, Improlec, Freeport-McMorRAn, Chilectra and Distributed Power Partners.I have recently completed a Master of Energy programme at the University of Auckland, and I am collaborating with the "Future Architecture of the Network"(FAN) project at the University of Auckland.
