About Eric Singley

I've been designing for a wide range of media for over 20 years. While the trend in the design profession is toward specialization I seem to have made my way as a jack of all trades. My career started in print and information design, then moved online, then branched out into spaces and objects, now it includes mobile, and has continued along most all of these paths in parallel for the last several years. I guess if anything I could say I specialize in applying a unique design sense to new media, new requirements and new professional environments. I specialize in adaptation. Most assignments I've been accepting lately have been garden variety corporate communications where the client knows pretty specifically what they want and what it needs to do. These can be enjoyable opportunities to do good work and maybe spring a few unexpected visual moves on the audience to really grab their attention. I really enjoy more broadly scoped projects however where the endpoint has been defined but the route might be open to creative interpretation. Gives me a chance to stretch out and really apply the full breadth of my experience to find the best solution. I've been working on staff in financial services since July 2012 as a Senior UX/UI Designer. The company leads their niche in helping people move from un-banked to a more stable financial position.
