About Eric Sokolowski

My years in Software Engineer, IT Administration, Management, and Cybersecurity have rewarded me with a depth of knowledge in the life cycle of a software engineering company. My early professional years included being a Lead System Engineer in support of US Navy efforts. This included helping in the design, coding, testing, and implementation of software tools and applications. These software products grew my knowledge of software engineering and design, formal acceptance testing, engineering documentation, scripting, and software security. All development was based in a Linux operating environment, which subsequently grew my knowledge of Linux System Administration. As a result of my engineering, Linux administration, and security experience, my career transitioned toward Cybersecurity, IT administration, IT Security Compliance, and networking design, which has been the bulk of my professional career. My knowledge base includes, but is not limited to: Linux and Windows system administration, Network design, VLAN configuration, network security design and implementation, documentation, testing, security compliance implementation and validation, etc. My in-depth technical skills and leadership qualities made me an easy fit as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) which then lead to my Director position, which I currently hold.
