About Eric Spacek

My passion is to help organizations and their employees, volunteers, and customers avoid injuries, damages, and losses. As a risk management and loss control leader in the property and casualty insurance industry, I oversee programs and teams to help prevent claims and lawsuits by providing effective and innovative solutions to risk exposure. Some of my accomplishments have included: • Developing the EFFECT® approach to risk management as a means to effectively communicate the range of risks faced by many nonprofit organizations • Overseeing the development of a risk management website utilized by close to customers and a risk management credit program • Managing innovative risk control programs with quantified loss prevention savings in excess of $200 million over the last three years • Serving as speaker for national, regional, and local risk management workshops and authoring numerous articles on a variety of risk management topics My passion for risk management can be traced back to my 11 years of experience as an insurance defense trial attorney, where I saw up close the results of unfortunate incidents and accidents as I represented organizations in civil litigation. I have a heart for serving in my community. I have served on the boards of two nonprofits and volunteered my time with others in the areas of restorative youth justice, immigration assistance, fundraising and special events, as well as serving in my local church.
