With several years of experience in the legal industry, I am a seasoned cybersecurity and risk leader who is now the founder at Stoked Security, a company dedicated to enhancing the cyber resilience of organizations. Through Stoked Security, my mission is to help businesses safeguard their digital assets and navigate the evolving threat landscape with confidence. I have held Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) positions at two prominent law firms: Loyens & Loeff, where I worked for 5 years and Stibbe, where I served for 2 years. In both roles, I was responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the firms' information security programs, ensuring alignment with high security standards and business objectives across the legal sector. As a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and ISO27001 Lead Implementer and ISO27001 Lead Auditor, I possess the technical expertise and practical experience necessary to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information assets. I am passionate about fostering a culture of security and risk awareness across organizations, using my leadership and communication skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, from senior management to end users. For five years, I also chaired the Legal-ISAC, an information sharing and analysis center that encouraged collaboration and best practices among peers in the legal sector and the National Cyber Security Centre. While no longer in this role, the experience strengthened my commitment to enhancing the security posture of individual organizations and the broader legal industry. Today, I am focused on helping organizations become more resilient to cyber threats through Stoked Security, providing tailored solutions to address the unique risks companies face.
