As the Director of Music at St. Malachy Church in Sterling Heights, Eric infuses his extensive experience with contemporary and traditional church music and passion into the community’s musical fabric. Eric’s journey in music has been marked by significant achievements and accolades. As the former Artistic Director of the Detroit Children’s Choir, Eric’s leadership produced the award-winning album "Winter Greetings" and extended music education to Detroit Public Schools without music programs. He has conducted choirs across all age groups and served as a Graduate Assistant at Wayne State University and Guest Instructor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. His tenure as Assistant Director for the Detroit Choral Society and Artistic Director of Aeolian Chorale in Dearborn, MI, highlights his skill in inspiring musicians. Eric's sought-after vocal coaching and choral clinics have led to collaborations with artists like Jill Jack and organizations including the Walt Disney Company. He organizes events like the Detroit Children’s Choir Christmas Festival and Detroit Beatz workshop, contributing significantly to Detroit’s cultural scene. As a professional tenor, Eric has performed with Audivi, Choral Artists of Michigan, the Archdiocese of Detroit Chorus, and sounding light. He holds a Master of Music in Conducting (Choral) and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education from Wayne State University. His affiliations with the American Choral Directors Association and Michigan School Vocal Music Association demonstrate his commitment to the choral community.
