About Eric Tolbert

Started in computer programming and electronics. Moved into distribution layout and planning. Fell into the fireplace industry helping the late Steve Eiklor with his company (now owned by his wife Lisa Eiklor) on some jobs. Worked for a couple other fireplace companies as well. Worked at Cox Communications for 5 years after before moving to north Idaho. I ended up having an accident that had me getting back into the fireplace industry. Since then I became a F.I.R.E. Certified Inspector, received my OSHA-30 certification with emphasis on fire safety and became lead technician/co-owner of a fireplace installation, service and maintenance small family business. Now I am also owner of my own small business providing metal art made for fire features to be used in and out of direct flame/heat, as well as indoor/outdoor metal art. Mostly working with steel and stainless steel. I started my business to provide safe custom burners, unique fire art sculptures and Level II & F.I.R.E. Certified Inspections for fireplaces, chimneys, firepits, decorative gas appliances, gas appliances, gas stoves and gas heaters. You can see my fire art work in many high end homes and commercial businesses. Most of my work has been done through Eiklor Flames West. Some of my work featured in Hearth and Home Magazine (March 2019 issue, Parting Shot) can physically be seen at the Trilogy Verde River golf and social club in and outside the restaurant. Other works are randomly inserted into adverts, magazines and web pages by various builders, designers and architects.
