About Eric Trousil

Personal Mission Statement: Countless times I have been told to study what I love and I will be successful. As a student in the Natural Resources College studying Global Tourism, if feel that I have truly found my passion. There are many great new things I have to offer for this dynamic, industry I have chosen for my career. Loving to travel myself, I want to help travelers see and experience new places in the world but do so in a way that is respectful to the people and land of the places we are visiting. Maintaining healthy habitats for all of the plants and animals in a tourism location is important to me and for the travelers experience. Giving travelers an authentic, natural view of their travel destination while keeping them very safe and comfortable are important things to me. My goal isn't to give travelers an experience that they expected, my goal is to give them a new experience that blows them away. Career Objective: As I learn more and more about the potential careers the hospitality and tourism industry has to offer, the more specific my career goals become. After building a solid foundation through a college education, I see myself pursuing a job that allows me to travel and gain first hand experience in hospitality and tourism. Eventually, my goal is to open up an eco travel lodge in Africa for travelers to stay and experience the wilderness while eating authentic food and staying in a comfortable lodge. While this may take me a while to accomplish, I couldn't think of a better job. Personal Strengths: Like everyone, I do have weaknesses but I feel that my personal strengths will bring me success in my life. Ever since I was a child, I have always been a leader. Whether it be on the basketball team or on the job, setting example and listening to others has made me the leader I am today. I work well with a variety of people and enjoy problem solving with others as well as on my own. I am a quick, eager learner and enjoy new challenges.
