About Eric Turcotte

as wci, inc. assistant executive director, since march 2016, i support the day-to-day operations of our offices in the u.s. and canada. my main responsibilities include personnel and vendor oversight, to ensure the organization meets its operational and business objectives, and that program services are delivered on time and to the highest quality possible, in compliance with our corporate policies. more especially, i manage wci, inc. business team, in charge of finance, accounting, procurement, human resources and other administrative functions, and i assist our executive director with duties and projects related to board and committee activities. prior my current position with wci, inc, i had over 10 years experience working with various public organizations, mainly acting in the fields of environmental economics, climate change and energy, sustainable transportation and strategic planning. i worked at the québec transportation agency (2009-2016), where i acted as a strategic planning advisor for the office of the deputy minister, as the coordinator of the annual report and as an active member of various working groups regarding sustainable mobility. i also worked as a lecturer on climate change and energy at the university of sherbrooke (2009-2013), in canada, and as an economic consultant focusing on environmental performance indicators for the oecd environment directorate (2006-2008) in paris, france. i hold a master’s degree in environmental science (2006) and a bachelor’s degree in economics (2003) from the university of sherbrooke.
