About Eric van Fleet
As a scientist, its my job to use my knowledge to ward off the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I've channeled this passion into 12 years of agricultural research working to stomp out famine. I do this by identifying innovative solutions to big technical problems. One example of this is the work I did at Terramera to develop a streamlined R&D pipeline. I built a team of talented technicians and scientists, and worked with them to develop Entomology, Plant Pathology, and Weed Science testing systems both in vitro and in planta. The highlight of my time there was working with an interdisciplinary team with Robotics, Machine Learning, and Data Science specialists to develop a customized, fully automated in planta Entomology assay. My ability to bring together broad knowledge, attention to detail, leadership, and big picture thinking allows me to succeed.
