Started in the offshore marine industry right out of High School in 1984 as a deckhand on a crewboat. Got my 100 ton Ocean Operators license in March of 1986, which later became the 100 ton Masters NC. Worked on crew/utility vessels for a small group of companies including; A&P Boat Rentals, John E. Graham & Sons, Abdon Callais and then Edison Chouest Offshore. While at Chouest upgraded license to ton Masters & Master of Towing upon Oceans. Became an Instructor at the Galliano Marine Training Center and then later Safety and Compliance Manager at Delta Towing. Sailed again for ECO, before taking a position working for the Coast Guard working as an offshore vessel expert with the Offshore National Center of Expertise in Morgan City, La. Currently working at Baker Marine Solutions, LLC performing vessel safety audits and inspections. And that's where the story ends for now.
