About Eric Vertorano

I started my University of Rochester experience knowing I had three paths I might want to take as an international relations student. One, become some sort of ambassador. Quickly, I realized the whole "using what I learned and applying it to real life" thing was not appealing to me in the political sphere. Two, I thought I could get into law. I thought wrong. Three, I knew I could go into business. With this in mind, I enrolled in one business course and immediately loved it. Finally, I found what I was passionate about. Through a process of trial and error, chaos, and confusion, I found that my analytical brain responded most naturally to finance. Now, I'm a junior at the University of Rochester confidently pursuing a dual degree in finance and international relations, currently interning for a Web3 startup in Spain, called Guzzu. Since global politics largely inform markets, I'm thankful that I found a way to mary my analytical mind with my passion for international relations and politics. I'm motivated to connect and pursue a career in finance starting at a Summer intern level.
