Today's video projects require elegant design, cutting edge graphics and succinct messaging. I weave these elements together through video editing and motion graphics for all my clients. With many years of experience in diverse projects, both in long and short formats, I bring a creative, professional attitude and the ability to work well individually and collaboratively, ensuring all deliverables are of the highest quality. I will bring my strong sense for detail in pacing, story, and sound to your edits. In addition to having my own style, I am effective at matching the styles of other editors for consistency in projects with larger teams, and am able to create motion graphics, generate high-quality text titles and animate pre-existing art to add a dynamic factor to your video. I can mix sound and make effective music choices that will impact your video in the strongest way possible. Understanding frame rates and retiming video is crucial, because sometimes that shot needs to be a certain length while the starting and ending frames are shorter than desired. Retiming while avoiding stutters creates beautiful, seamless movement between shots and a natural flow in the entire project. Sometimes production issues crop up that must be solved quickly in post-production. I provide your project with elegant solutions such as color matching and camera matching between multiple, un-synced cameras, correcting improper white balancing, taking correctly pronounced words from one take and seamlessly splicing them in another, and repairing stumbles such as “um” and “uh” and stutters via Fluid Morph on Avid and Morph Cut on Premiere so the viewer will never know they happened. I am a problem solver. The trick to being effective is to make these edits seamless and let the production crew sigh with relief that once again, everyone looks good with the final delivery no matter what went right or wrong in production. I have had some incredible successes such as my work on the Masks roleplaying game Kickstarter video for Magpie Games in 2015. With my video, they raised $107,328 for a goal in 26 days (over 2500% of the goal!). I directed and edited the feature film Everything Fred Tells Me Is True that screened at the NJ Film Festival and New York Filmmakers Festival in 2011. I won the 2002 and 2003 NY Emmy Awards for my work on Subway Q&A. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my wife, two children and two cats.
