About Eric Voorbij

After my last exam on May 11, 1987 at High School (actually “Veenlandencollege”, grammar school at Mijdrecht, which is exactly at the centre of Holland), I was drafted on May 14, 1987. After 14 months through Ossendrecht (Basic Training), Hollandse Rading (Medic Combat Training) and Airforce Base Soesterberg 298 SQN (detached as a medic with the "Dutch Air Farce") having fulfilled "my tour of duty"(do not take me wrong I'm principally a military man), I moved to Tilburg to attend the local University. Through an IT study I was so fortunate to meet: Edith den Ouden. I switched to tax law and within three years, after graduating with honours:"Master of tax law". Many thanks to my wife and my professors (amongst others: Peter Essers, the one who actually told me "I should not study so hard." and, of course, the others who assisted me). Was recruited first by Arthur Andersen. Although I sincerely enjoyed my time there, I did not like where AA was going. Consequently, I started my own company in February 1996 My wife and others joined shortly after. V&P has currently offices in Brasschaat (Belgium) and Rotterdam (Holland). Specialties: International tax law in general. Specialty: Dutch and Belgian (international) tax law.
