About Eric Weiske

Eric Weiske, B.Sc, is a dedicated professional with 14 years of combined work experience in Wastewater, Forestry, and Environmental Management Industries. His extensive, multidisciplinary experience includes: training and auditing staff; assisting in planning, designing and the implementation of construction and post-construction environmental monitoring programs; implementation of efficacy testing; writing weekly/monthly technical reports; development of SOPs, SWPs, JHAs; ensuring compliance to federal and/or provincial legislation and regulations in the workplace; and reporting environmental emergencies. He is an experience Leader, responsible for the planning, coordination and management of environmental field staff (currently 31 unionized employees). Mr. Weiske has contributed to many (capital and operating) projects related to infrastructure upgrades and regulatory authorizations. He is currently responsible for maintaining over 125 permanent structures, maintaining a fleet of vehicles, temporary mobile pumps and other small equipment. He is currently responsible for creating a multi-year operating budget (approximately $6.5 million dollar operating budget) and is familiar with revenue and expense projection analyses. Eric has extensive experience with Federal and Provincial wastewater legislation, possesses a Class IV Operators Certification for Wastewater Collection Facilities, and has an excellent knowledge of water, wastewater and storm systems. Eric has frontline field experience and has progressively moved up into a leadership position while often acting as Superintendent of Wastewater Collection for the City of Winnipeg. He also has experience in conducting biological surveys, soil sampling, environmental monitoring/management, regulatory compliance, site reclamation and invasive species management. He is proficient with Microsoft Office, Oracle (OWAM), PeopleSoft HRMS, REPA, the CoW’s Electronic Flood Manual and has a working knowledge of SCADA.
