About Eric Westacott

I focus my practice on the fields of estate planning, corporate law and litigation. With over 15 years of experience, I counsel my clients to find and facilitate the best means of devising their estates to future generations. I have considerable experience assisting families of children with special needs in protecting assets through special needs trusts. I also advise corporate clients on entity creation, mergers and acquisitions, capital funding, licensing agreements, independent contractor/agency agreements, and other corporate transactions and I represent corporate clients in general litigation matters. My specific focus is in the start-up and entrepreneurial space where I advise clients on technology and process integration. I also have considerable experience as an entrepreneur, as I have successfully started, owned, and sold several businesses and non-for-profit entities. Additionally, I have extensive litigation experience, having tried cases in front of judges and juries throughout Missouri and Illinois. I am passionate about helping others. Through my own foundation, the Eric Westacott Foundation, I have helped to raise over for spinal cord research and those affected by spinal cord injury. In addition, I sit on the board for Paraquad, the University of Missouri Spinal Cord Research Injury Program, and Iron Hope.
