Grew up in the Bahamas to Swedish/US parents. Sailed professionally since age 18, operated over 125 vessels sea miles. Joined a tanker fleet owner in Singapore 3 years, moved back to Newport RI, started a yacht delivery company (Echo Yacht Delivery Worldwide) still going 20 years later, with many captains enrolled. Studied jointly for a Maritime Law and Masters in Marine Affairs degree. Moved to CT then NYC.
