About Eric Yarascavitch

My personal experience and education drive my passion for providing services to those in need. You can find me pouring my heart out onto canvas as a painter, paper as a writer, and through an instrument as a musician. This personal passion and a Juris Doctor specialisation in International Business and Finance, focusing specifically on Commercial / Corporate and Intellectual Property law will allow me to support struggling creators follow their dreams. Extensive legal research and the desire to submit two research projects for publishing is a current focus of mine. Working closely with one of Australia's leading experts in emission trading law and an authority on carbon market integrity has allowed me to narrow my IP specialisation. My research thesis focus is on 'Intellectual properties existence within agribusiness and how it impacts international trade'. A second research project within commercial IP focuses on 'The structure and relevance of the 360 deal in the music industry'. Receiving mentorship from my law professor, who is also a management company owner and entertainment lawyer, has helped bring this goal closer to fruition. After working as a Youth Mentor and Community Service Worker within the social work industry, I decided to pursue legal avenues based on my educational experience. That led me Pelham Legal Services as a paralegal assistant using my past knowledge from OTT Legal services to perform paralegal duties. I then combined both my legal and social work experience through employment at Legal Aid Ontario. I was able to provide enhanced public legal information to low-income families and individuals, refer applicants to legal clinics, duty counsel and where ever else was warranted. Also, entered case details on financial and legal eligibility to issue legal certificates to vulnerable clients. I have a Diploma from Durham College, an Honours BA from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, a Juris Doctor (First Class Distinction) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice both from Bond University. My goal is to help clients better understand legal situations in the most straightforward and uncomplicated way possible. I currently work as an entertainment and intellectual property solicitor but have not forgotten about my social work background and will always be open to legal opportunities that help out low-income persons within any community.
