About Erich Charters

I am experienced as a product designer in the automotive, aerospace and turbomachinery industries, and as a tooling and gaging designer for these fields. I have designed combustion systems, crankcase ventilation and oil filter modules, engine components such as valley covers and valve covers both in injection molded and steel or aluminum castings, and hot-section turbomachinery including buckets (moving turbine blade) and nozzles (fixed turbine blades). Also in my cadre is automotive class-A surfacing for body design and interiors, mechanical plastic assemblies on interior I.P. and center stack/infotainment button packs and structures. I am open to teaching Mechanical Design, Product Development, GD & T, Siemens NX, Fusion 360 and Autodesk Inventor on a consulting basis. I am well travelled domestically and abroad, having spent about half my career as a contractor or consultant, usually while still doing the same type of work I was helping others learn or optimize. I am also open to employment that requires travel or is a hybrid or full-time remote position using the core skills listed above.
