Serving since November 2013 as the head of R&D at DIG GmbH (former AG), Austria's number one eProcurement and EDI (eRelation and eBilling) provider, re-establishing and supporting distributed teams in migrating to new technologies, adopting Agile methodologies and building up a new workforce, organizing customer support and cutting down ticket volume by 91%(within one year), and enhancing and maintaining a distributed heterogenous system and platform and keeping our 400+ customers successful, happy and increasingly (businesswise) connected. Previously served as Product Owner and Software System Developer/Principal for application and web performance management products (BMC TM ART / Silk Performance Manager and Silk WebMeter) at Borland (a Micro Focus company) for more than 8 years. Advanced a small scale niche product into an enterprise wide scaleable monitoring solution. Served also as temporary Resource and IT Manager for the Borland Linz R&D lab. 2003 to 2005 worked as consultant for different Austrian companies, developed (amongst others) a mobile solution for vehicle component identification, offline tender preperation solution for the field (both for Rosenbauer firefighting enterprise). to 2003 served as director for commercial web development at the Ars Electronica Center's Digital Economy department, developed and maintained the e-commerce system for the biggest Austrian internet warehouse at that time (Quelle Austria, Slovenia and the Southern Tyrol), including newsletter and online auction system. Led development of various commercial web integratons and solutions. Erich holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Johannes Kepler University of Linz and an MBA in Innovation Management from the LIMAK Austrian Business School.
