About Erick Steelman

I am passionate about infusing educational technology into today's classrooms as well as constant analysis of business processes for continuous improvement within our schools. For me personally, it's less about the hardware tools/platform and more about instilling change towards how students learn as well as how our educators teach. I believe in empowering staff with the knowledge they need to be self sufficient and effective agents of change whenever possible. To help in this process I do my best to model effective usage, elicit constant feedback from all stakeholders and assist in creation of targeted professional development opportunities designed to invoke innovation. There is nothing that excites me more than seeing a student have a thirst for knowledge; but more importantly for them to have the skill sets needed to obtain, share, and teach others their learning outcomes. I think this is the core of what drives me.helping to empower students to not just be content consumers, but content contributors and educators within their local society or even the global economy.
