About Ericka Broderick

I am a creative soul with a journalistic mind and a touch of wanderlust. In May 2018, I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in Manchester, NH. I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a double minor in Professional Writing and Music. During my studies, I spent a semester abroad at Florence University of the Arts (FUA) in Florence, Italy, a city where creatives thrive. Staying with a host family, learning their language and practices, and traveling to other countries changed my perspective on a global scale. My biggest passion is music but I have a great love for video production, social media, and journalism. I’ve been making videos for 6 years but my passion for it developed through my previous position as a Social Media Assistant for the SNHU Marketing Department. My love for journalism was sparked when I helped cover a lead news story for the White House on Michelle Obama’s powerful speech at SNHU in October 2016. A few months later I met three-time Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist Stephen Kurkjian and did a story on his take on the Gardner Museum Art Heist. Right now I am looking to gain more experience in video directing/producing/editing as well as in the fields of marketing, social media, and journalism.
