About Ericka Jackson

I am a native of Newark, NJ and obtained my bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Master of Social Work degree from Kean University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who utilizes CBT, Motivational Interviewing, IPT, and other therapies to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, etc. After years of working in a residential setting with youth with mental illnesses exhibiting emotionally disturbed behavior problems, I realized I had a passion to work with individuals and families dealing with trauma and depression. I have over ten years of experience working with youth and families both in a residential home and as an IIC-Intensive In-Home Therapist. I also have experience working with adults with mental illness and chemical addiction in an Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and Outpatient service as a case manager for homeless and incarcerated veterans. Through outreach, I educate and train on topics such as mental illness, trauma, and homelessness. I am the founder and owner of Your Truth Llc mental health therapeutic counseling practice. I hold a certificate in Trauma from NASW and Sexual Abuse Dynamics and Intervention from Fordham University.
