As the Executive Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) at Columbia University in the City of New York, I am dedicated to the Postdoctoral community, providing leadership in comprehensive initiatives, policies, and activities in support of University goals.A trained neuroscientist with a Ph.D. in Medicine, I have a combination of both academic and industry training, and professional experience at home and abroad to propel the goals and mission of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.Our Mission: OPA supports and assists Columbia Postdocs in their professional training and development as well as offers in-depth guidance and resources to the Columbia University community on all matters pertaining to Postdoctoral affairs.With a clear comprehension of academic rigor and the vital role of academic advising and support services, I serve the Postdoc community with an emphasis on policy implementation and improvements, program expansion, and career development. It is my personal goal to provide excellence in supporting the mission of The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs, adding dynamic value, and creating a collaborative, inclusive environment to facilitate Postdoc success.
