Ericky Willy is experienced in providing leadership and drive strategies in growth of customer business, mobile financial services business, Retail Banking & Agency Network accelerator, with 10 years of experience in Telecommunication and Banking industries in Areas of Sales, Distribution, innovation, commercial, marketing and Retail Banking. Within 5 years in Telecommunication industry, at Millicom operations in Tanzania (brand name Tigo), Ericky worked in three roles growing MFS business by successful growth of agent’s network (namely Tigopesa Wakala form to more than Active), growth of customers/Wallets (From 800k to above 6.5 Mil Active) and took part in Innovation, development and growth of multiple products and services including, Tigo pesa App (first in the country), Merchant Payment (Lipa Hapa kwa Tigo Pesa currently Lipa kwa Simu), Banks Super Agency Services and the First-in-the-World Mobile Wallet Interoperability providing fully interoperable mobile money transfer service among 4 MFS wallets operators in 2014. Ericky Joined Banking industry, in January 2017, where he has champion financial inclusion in the country through redefined strategy of growth of Bank Agents in Tanzania for the 2 Biggest banks in Tanzania, with growth of about Bank Agents within past 4 years, who currently serves at least 2.5 million bank customers and over 4 million non-banking customers, Monthly. He has championed innovation of First Digital Instant Float/E-Value Facility to agents, Super Wakala/Franchise and Card-less Withdrawals at Agents. Currently at CRDB as the Head of Agency Banking and Distribution, under Retail Banking, he is responsible for provide leadership and strategies for business growth of Agency Banking, ATMs and Branches as part of Channel Distribution including Managing Performance & channels optimization to achieve sustainability in channel’s profit growth and achieve world class customer experience. Ericky holds Masters in Business Administration (MBA) International Business from India Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). He is currently Attending Strathmore University Leadership Program.
