Some people call me an IT Jack of all trades. And I think that describes me better than something like "IT Consultant". Experiences, innovative and for sure not afraid to learn something new, I’m always trying to use new technologies to make affordable solutions for all kind of ICT Infrastructure problems. I’ve started working on a novell-to-Windows NT (3.51) migration, worked with Window Server. Seen the rise of Exchange (and the switch to Office365 later). Started with virtualisation, discovering VMWare, Hyper-V. Building Large Clusters with SAN Technology. Now experiencing the (im)possibilities of Hyper-Converged systems and Public/Hybrid Cloud solutions using the capacity of Azure. I see myself as a trouble-shooter, making a quick fix and not stopping there but trying to solve the root cause of the problem. I can support software engineers developing new applications to identify or solve possible bottlenecks in their applications and how to make efficient use of new technologies like Azure. My knowledge of (Microsoft) Server solutions is diverse, ranging from Hardware (Storage, Compute, Networking), Operating Systems, Applications to Cloud Solutions. I consider myself as an expert on Hyper-V, Clustering and MS Private Cloud. You need to have knowledge of Storage, Networking and Server Hardware to combine these into a Cloud-platform that can be used to host several solutions. My strength is in developing new solutions and migrating to those new solutions. A big part is the support after the migration and supporting the system engineers how to properly manage the solutions. Although I have knowledge and experience with a bunch of Microsoft Products, I consider myself as an expert on Hyper-V, Clustering and MS Private Cloud. You need to have knowledge of Storage, Networking and Server Hardware to combine these into a Cloud-platform that can be used to host several solutions.
