Professional experience in Project Management for drug development in biotechnoglogy• Leading multidisciplinary project teams (in a matrix organization) for preclinical and clinical (phase 1 and phase 2) drug development in the biotechnology field• International management of external collaborations: both management of outsourced activities as well as management of partner-funded projects with large international pharma companies• Project planning: resource and budget planning• Patent strategy and participated as scientific expert in several oral examinations, opposition and appeal procedures at EPO and USPTO• Assessment and maximalization of project value• Risk assessment, technology and target scouting involvement in business interactions• Grant writing: very familiar with Flemish granting body, IWT, resulting in several successful grant applications with total project value exceeding 20 M€.
