About Erik Elenz

My career ambition is to help build and positively impact winning Hockey Organizations! I am excited to be a member of first ever Coachella Valley Firebird coaching staff and proud to be part of the Seattle Kraken organization. Extremely proud of the team's regular season record which was 2nd best in the AHL and our win of the Western Conference Championship in just our first year in the AHL. Being part of a brand-new organization, new arena, and new team created an invaluable opportunity to learn and to contribute in countless ways. Just prior to joining the Firebirds, I worked in Europe as Video Coach for the German National Team competing in the 2022 IIHF World Championships. To prepare myself for my career in professional hockey, I worked hard to build a unique set of applicable skills. For four seasons, I managed all Video (pre-scout, prospect, team) as a full-time member of the University of Vermont Men’s Hockey Coaching Staff. Simultaneously, I provided video, training, and technical support to additional College, International, and Professional Hockey organizations. While doing all of the above, I graduated with a 3.6 GPA (4.0 scale) as a full-time, Dean’s List student at the Grossman School of Business and was honored to receive the University of Vermont's Patrick M. Brown Leadership Award. Hudl recognized some of these innovations as unique in College Hockey.
