About Erik Mitchell

I started working at Revision Energy in 2008 as an installer building mostly solar thermal systems, both residential and commercial. I worked as an installer for 8 years getting my hands dirty and installing everything from solar thermal systems to PV systems to heat pumps. From there, I moved into my current position as Solar Design Specialist in 2016. Since then, I've consulted with over 1,200 homeowners on how to electrify their homes, and use solar electricity to produce that clean power. Each home is a puzzle, and I really enjoy helping folks eliminate fossil fuels from their homes while making the transition to the all electric home powered by solar! My wife, daughter, dog and I reside in Brunswick, ME in an all electric home powered mostly by solar. In the summer I enjoy being on the ocean as much as possible and in the winter I'm happiest on my snowboard or playing some pond hockey. The work that I do day in and day out is incredibly meaningful and rewarding. It's a drop in the bucket in the fight against the climate crisis, but giving my daughter a habitable planet to live on is the only choice.
