I am a hands-on Information Security Executive that specializes in large Information security projects or or transformations. I possess a rare combination of diverse experience, deep technical knowledge, communication skills and leadership. I know how to identify security gaps, make Senior Executives understand the need and the ability to execute the necessary projects. I have always been passionate about computers and computer security. I got my first computer when I was 5 years old (Atari 600XL) and wrote my first BASIC program almost immediately. I hacked my first networks by "War Dialing" the entire 514 area code using my 1200 Bps modem when I was 10. For College, Computer Science simply sounded like more fun than Med School. After working as a self-employed consultant, computer repair technician and IBM, I decided that the I needed to either work in gaming or security. Guess which one I tried first? I never looked back. I worked as a Network Security Analyst/Supervisor where I was introduced to all type of logs and concepts related to Network Security. The GCIA certification is one of the hardest things I have ever done. It was a lot harder back then with both a paper and practical log analysis assignment. I don't have a lot of programming experience but I know my way around scripting (Perl, Python, Shell/Batch, Apple) and several programming language (Assembly, C, C++, Java).
