About Erik Muller

I am a quantitative environmental scientist, notably in the fields of Environmental Toxicology and Environmental Risk Assessment, Global Chance Biology, Dynamic Energy Budget modeling and Ecological Dynamics, for over 30 years. I have managed and led research projects and extensively collaborated cross-disciplinarily with specialists from academia, government institutes, and industry. Currently, I'm holding two positions: At ibacon, a German contract research organization, I design and supervise ecological modeling projects for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, mainly in the context of ERA. As an Account Manager. I'm also contracting GLP-compliant lab studies for our Terrestrial and Aquatic Toxicology as well as Environmental Fate Departments. At the University of California, Santa Barbara, I'm involved in modelling projects about the impacts of toxicants on organismal performance and about the impacts of global change on the integrity of symbioses in corals (with Boston University).
